The Ada Kiwanis Club met on Tuesday October 14, at  noon at McIntosh Center, ONU, Ada. President John Berg called the meeting to order.
Jaime Hall was welcomed as a guest .

Kiwanis spaghetti dinner at Ada school Oct. 23

Ada Kiwanis Club holds its annual spaghetti dinner from 4:30 to 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 23, in the Ada High School cafeteria.

Tickets are $7 each with children 10 and under admitted free. The menu includes spaghetti, salad, bread sticks and beverages.

Services for Jimmie Vandemark on Oct. 22

Jimmie I. Vandemark, 72, died on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2014, at 8:44 a.m. at Lima Memorial Health System, Lima.

He was born on Jan. 28, 1942, in Bluffton, to Irvin E. and Edna Mae (Hassan) Vandemark and they preceded him in death.

He retired from Lima Memorial Hospital in 2002 after working 35 years in the Housekeeping Department. He was a member of the Church of Christ Disciples of Ada. Jimmie was a 1960 graduate of Ada High School. 

Surviving are three sisters: Joyce Long of Ada, Janet (Lauren) Eibling of Kenton, and JoAnn (Delbert) Henry of Ada; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Edison Long.
