Motivational speaker at chamber meeting Wednesday AM

Ada Area Chamber of Commerce's monthly member meeting is at 8 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 20, according to Deb Curlis, chamber president.

The meeting is open to the public and is at Community Health Professionals. A motivational speaker will give a talk at the meeting.

In additition, at noon will be a ribbon cutting at Century 21 Sunway Realty.

Get Witch Quick a senior play to remember

It was "Get Witch Quick," the Ada High School senior class play performed in November 1970. Jean Sleesman was director. The cast is listed on the side of the photo.

Ada chamber invites you to nominate Ada's outstanding business of 2015

The Ada Area Chamber of Commerce wants to recognized Ada's outstanding business of 2015 and you can help make the selection.

The chamber is currently accepting nominations for the 2015 award. An application form is an attachment at the bottom of this story.

The winner will be announced at the chamber's annual celebration dinner at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 17, at the Wishing Well in McIntosh Center on ONU's campus.

Cost is $15 per person.

Ada council considers legislation for North Simon Street storm sewer project

Ada council will act on two resolutions on Tuesday involving the North Simon Street storm sewer project.

Passage enables the village to seek state funding assistance for the project. Upon passage, Mayor David Retterer will submit an application to participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission’s State Capital Improvement and/or Local Transportation Improvement Programs.

Council will also act on legislation for engineering for the project.
