NEW KNOXVILLE - Despite an eight-day layoff, the Ada boys soccer team stayed hot on a warm Tuesday evening at New Knoxville.
The visiting Bulldog boys crushed the non-conference foe Rangers 6-1 to earn their sixth straight victory. Ada has not lost since August 21 at Kenton.
With the win, the Bulldog record improved to 6-2-1.
Junior Jacob Poling tallied another hat trick to pace the onslaught. Senior Skyler Williams netted a pair of goals and Carter Conley added the other score.
Senior Isaac Spar dished out three assists. Isaac Williams and Andrew Rush each passed out one assist.

HARROD - The visiting Ada volleyball team lost a marathon five-set battle to backyard rival Allen East in a seesaw Northwest Conference thriller Tuesday evening.
The Lady Bulldogs took a two sets to one lead, but the Mustang girls rallied to win the fourth set and force a decisive fifth game. AE then took the final set in extra time to clinch the hard-fought victory.
The purple and gold dropped to 4-7 and 0-3 in the NWC with the tough-luck defeat. AE improved to 5-2 and 1-1 in league play with the 25-22, 25-27, 19-25, 25-18, 17-15 comeback victory.

BLUFFTON - The Ada golf team whipped Hardin County foe Ridgemont 199-254 Monday evening in a dual match to end their regular season on a high note at the Bluffton Golf Course.
It was Ada's third straight match with a team score under 200. The Bulldogs dominated by taking the top five spots in the match.
"The boys are looking to carry this momentum into the (upcoming) post-season tournaments," said Ada head coach Jason Campbell.
Bulldog junior Brevin Sizemore was first medalist with a score of 46. He finished strong with scores of five, five and three over the final three holes.

McGUFFEY - The Ada football team raced to a 33-point halftime lead and thumped traditional rival Upper Scioto Valley 45-14 Saturday night in a makeup game postponed by bad weather Friday.
The Bulldogs ran out to the early cushion behind a big-play offense and cruised to the victory, quickly putting to rest any thoughts of a close contest.
Ada earned its first win as they completed the non-league part of their schedule 1-2. The Rams fell to 2-1 after their first 2-0 start in years.
Ada vs. Bluffton is one of northwest Ohio's longest-standing rivarlies, going back to the early 1920s

ADA - Coming off of its fist win, the Ada football team kicks off Northwest Conference play Friday with a key game at home vs. local rival Bluffton.
The Pirates are 2-1 after defeating winless Defiance Ayersville 35-14 in week three.
Bluffton (1-0 on road, 1-1 home) beat visiting Cory-Rawson 42-26 in its opener, but then lost to Pandora-Gilboa 27-9 in their first meeting since 1965.
The Pirates of head coach Jeff Richards boast an old-school, ground-oriented offensive attack.
