Senior Seth Transue (Plain City/Jerome), junior Cash Thompson (Lake Odessa, Mich./Lakewood) and freshman Chase Sumner (Ada) have been named All-America in Wrestling for 2020 by the National Wrestling Coaches Association.
Sumner was a late addition to the NCAA Championships after finishing fourth at the 149-pound weight class at the Central Regional Championships.
He received a bid just a few days prior to the championships after a Central Regional qualifier from his 149-pound weight class became injured and could not compete.

Ohio Northern senior Gabby Stewart (Union, Ky./St. Henry) was named Academic All-District 7 in softball in voting conducted by the College Sports Information Directors of America.
Stewart, a catcher majoring in nursing, was hitting .393 with three home runs and nine RBI though 10 games this season before the campaign was stopped on March 12 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
She was named 2nd Team All-Central Region and 1st Team All-Ohio Athletic Conference as a junior and was named Second Team All-Conference and Academic All-Conference and was named to the All-OAC Tournament Team as a sophomore in 2018.
Stewart is also a 3-time OAC Hitter of the Week honoree.

The University of Dayton Arena will host the Ohio High School Athletic Association girls basketball state tournament for the next three years, OHSAA Executive Director Jerry Snodgrass announced Tuesday. Having hosted 125 NCAA basketball tournament games, UD Arena has been the home court for March Madness more than any other facility in the country.
Renovated in 2019, UD Arena has a seating capacity of 13,000 and has played host to many OHSAA basketball tournament games, along with Atlantic 10 Conference and NCAA tournament games. During the regular season, it is the home of the very successful University of Dayton Flyers women’s and men’s basketball teams.
