Spring Migration Hike is for the birders

8-10:30 a.m. on May 14 at Quarry Farm

Global Big Day, Saturday, May 14, is an annual celebration of the birds around you. On that day, bird migration will be in full swing.

The Quarry Farm Nature Preserve & Conservation Farm will host its annual Spring Migration Hike on the 14th from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.

Birders should dress for the weather in earth-toned colors and sturdy hiking shoes that can get muddy.

Join others for a walk with stops to look and listen for migrating and resident birds. Sightings will be documented on Cornell Lab of Ornithology’s ebird website and shared with any participants who want to share their email.

Binoculars and cameras are welcome.
