Weekend Doctor: Sleepwalking

Through a collaboration between Blanchard Valley Health System and Nationwide Children’s Hospital, the content of this article was provided courtesy of Nationwide’s 700 Children’s® blog by pediatric experts.

Sleepwalking happens when a child is asleep but does activities such as sitting up, getting out of bed, eating, or even getting dressed. Those activities could last a few seconds to a half hour–and the child will usually never remember they did it. It usually happens within the first couple hours of a child falling asleep.

August election, absentee ballot application announced

The Hardin County Board of Elections has announced that a Primary Election will be held in Hardin County on August 2, 2022.

Absentee ballot requests may be mailed to the office at:

Hardin County Board of Elections
One Courthouse Square, Suite 40
Kenton, OH  43326

Or, they may be taken to the Courthouse in Kenton to the Red Drop Box labeled “Hardin County Board of Elections," located on the south side of the Courthouse on the ramp. This is a secure box, monitored by camera 24/7, and checked several times throughout the day.

Ada area students named to Bluffton’s undergraduate dean’s list

Bluffton University has announced the following Ada area residents on the dean’s list for undergraduate students for spring term 2022:

Ally Richardson, Alger, Ohio

Students with a cumulative GPA of at least 3.75 based on 20 semester hours received dean’s list with distinction for continued high achievement.
