Don't try this at home

Free computer classes offered by Ada Public Library in February

The Ada Public Library will offer free computer classes in February, according to Amanda Bennett, library director.

Here's a summary of the classes:

What: The Ada Public Library will be hosting a handful of computer classes including various Microsoft applications, Pinterest, and more.

Who: Anyone is allowed to come to these classes, but space is limited.

Lots of rescheduled events on Ada school calendar

Jan. 28 - 2 Hour Early Dismissal due to Teacher In-Service meetings

JUNIORS & SENIORS: The Lima News and Bluffton University are sponsoring the Leaders of Tomorrow program. All nominees will be recognized in a special section of the Lima News and invited to attend an awards recognition banquet! The 10 finalists and top honoree will receive special awards! Each school can nominate up to three juniors and three seniors. Apply by Jan. 31.

Tommy "Tink" Hall funeral arrangements incomplete

Funeral arrangements for Tommy R. "Tink" Hall are incomplete at Hanson-Neely Funeral Home. 

Hall was born on Nov. 12, 1946, and died on Friday, January 24, 2014. He was a resident of Bluffton, Ohio.

Russell Ludwig nominated for board of elections term

Russell W. Ludwig was unanimously nominated for another term on the Hardin County Board of Elections by the Hardin County Democrat Executive Committee members at their January meeting at Henry's Restaurant.

Ludwig's name was submitted to the Ohio Secretary of State for his appointment to the term beginning March 1, and ending on Feb. 28, 2017.

The committees endorsed State Representative Ted Letson for Justice of the Ohio Supreme Court. All statewide candidates have now been endorsed by the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees.
