That's right, a comet is in the sky this month and here's some information for Icon skygazers.
The incoming Comet ISON is now in the home stretch of its long-awaited hairpin loop around the sun on Thanksgiving Day (Nov. 28), making it a great target for amateur astronomers and stargazers. But there are some tips and info you'll want to keep in mind before you go comet hunting.

I hopped onto Discover Ohio's site to find somewhere we hadn't been in the past for a quick weekend getaway, and I ended up at a link for an inn on the campus of Ohio Northern University.
Who owns Hardin County? Thousands of people have a piece of it, and they are listed in the new plat book published by the Hardin County 4-H with Mapping Solutions.
The 2014 book is available for purchase for $20 at the OSU Extension Office, 1021 W. Lima St., Suite 103, and also at the Hardin County Soil and Water Conservation District, 12751 5R 309W both in Kenton. For more information contact the office at (419) 674-2297.
The 16th annual Community Health Professionals “Ada Festival of Trees,” is now open to the public. The show runs from now through Nov. 22 at the CHP office, 1200 S. Main St., Ada. The show, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily offers free admission, lots of Christmas trees and other silent auction items.
Two events have already taken place. On Sunday was the appreciation festival for sponsors and volunteers. On Monday was a cookie bake-off including cookie judging with prizes awarded.
A line of strong late season thunderstorms with possible tornadoes and winds gusting to 70 miles per hour moved across Ohio late Sunday breaking poles and knocking down power lines in several areas of AEP Ohio’s service territory. The severe weather has effected service for both transmission and distribution customers.
