Liberty Preschool screenings scheduled for March 8

The Midwest Regional Educational Service Center has announced preschool screenings for the 2023-2024 school year, including those for the Liberty Village Preschool, 725 W. North Ave, Ada.

If you have a child that will be age 3 to age 5 during the upcoming school year, call 937-599-5195 ext 3020 to schedule an appointment for screening or email Penny Carrig at: [email protected]

Liberty Village Preschool will have screenings on Wednesday, March 8.

ODOT Safe Routes to Schools Program accepting applications

COLUMBUS--The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has an opportunity for Ohio school districts or their partners to apply for funding to develop and implement projects that enable and encourage children to safely walk or bike to school.

After prom raffle with February 11 prize announcement

The Ada High School after prom committee has announced its first 2023 After Prom raffle fundraiser:

Tickets are $20 and you have a chance to win some "big cash." The winners will be announced at the February 11 basketball game.

February 18 Hardin County Horse Banquet

The eighth annual Hardin County Horse Banquet will be held on Saturday, February 18 at the Kenton Moose Family Center. The doors will open at 4:00 pm for a silent auction to raise funds for the scholarship fund and food will be served at 5:30 pm. Banquet tickets this year are $12.00 for adults and $9.00 for youth under 18 years of age. Children aged 6 and under are admitted free.

Hardin County Board of Elections will certify petitions on February 9

The Hardin County Board of Elections will meet Thursday, February 9, at 9:00 a.m. in their office in the courthouse to certify petitions for candidates and issies in 2023 elections.

This will be done during the regular business meeting for the Board, and other Board business will also be addressed as usual, such as approval of minutes and the auditor’s report.

Ada Schools: Weather slows buses after school, JH girls basketball is cancelled

Ada Exempted Village Schools announced at 2:40 p.m.: "Road Conditions have deteriorated throughout today, January 26, with new snow/ice accumulation and blowing/drifting snow.

"Ada EVS school buses may be running late as they use caution in transporting students home.

"Tonight's JH Girls Basketball game vs Arcadia is canceled.

"The JV/Varsity Girls Basketball game tonight vs Crestview is being played as scheduled."
