Governor Mike DeWine today provided the following updates related to Ohio's response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
CHILD CARE RATIOS
Governor DeWine announced that child care providers in Ohio may return to their normal, statutory ratios and class sizes beginning on Aug. 9, 2020.
Child care providers have a choice to increase the number of children and staff members to the normal statutory ratios or to maintain their current, lower ratios to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) is structuring a financial incentive to providers that maintain smaller ratios and classroom sizes.
In June, the Arbor Day Foundation honored Ohio Northern University once again as a Tree Campus USA university for its dedication to campus forestry management and environmental stewardship.
"The Tree Campus USA program will have a long-lasting impact at Ohio Northern as it engages college students and local citizens to plant trees and create healthier communities for people to enjoy for decades to come," said John Rosenow, chief executive of the Arbor Day Foundation.

Summer is a great time to explore the art spread across the Ada community – especially for viewers unable to visit art galleries elsewhere in Ohio.
As a weekly series, The Icon will feature the art located on The Remington Walk on the Ohio Northern University campus. For some viewers, this series is familiar. For others, it may be a first-time experience.
Either way, it’s an opportunity to take a walk and view some art that is uniquely Ada. The Walk is spread through campus and may be viewed by following the ONU walking path, beginning near Affinity Village, west of The Freed Center.
