February came in like a lion, remaining that in that animal form for three weeks.
And, without warning, a lamb took its place on the 22nd and has yet to leave.
According to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer, the 28-day month began with a low of 8 degrees on Feb. 3 and ended with a high of 61 degrees on Feb. 28, a welcome 53-degree improvement.
Yet, during a 21-day stretch from Feb. 1 to 21, the temperature topped above freezing only twice, on the 4th and 21st.

Vaccinations bring images to mind of elementary students visiting a doctor prior to school opening.
The tables switched on Friday. Ada school teachers and staff members had their turn receiving vaccines. They received their first of two doses of the Moderna covid-19 vaccine.
Ohio Northern University HealthWise Pharmacy staff members vaccinated nearly 85 adults in the three-hour clinic, which delayed the start of school until 10:35 a.m.
Meri Skilliter, Ada superintendent, said that the school appreciates its relationship with the ONU pharmacy program and thanked them for setting up and administering the clinic.

Ada will have a scheduled 2-hour school delay on Friday, Feb. 26, according to Meri Skilliter, superintendent. School will begin at 10:35 a.m.
Members of the Ohio Northern University HealthWise pharmacy staff will administer the first round of covid-19 vaccines to staff and teachers from 7 a.m. to 10 a.m.
"We are grateful for Ohio Northern University in being a wonderful neighbor and partner, not just in arranging our vaccinations, but also in other areas throughout this pandemic," said Skilliter.
The vaccine clinic was originally planned for Feb. 19. The winter storm of last week caused a shipment delay and the event was moved to Feb. 26.
