Saundra Neely delivered several donations for Hurricane Harvey aid to the North Central Ohio Chapter of the Red Cross serving Hancock, Crawford, Hardin, Marion, Monroe, Seneca, Union and Wyandot Counties located in Findlay.
One donation was a check from Ada's Junior Civic League representing part of the proceeds from the group's annual pecans sales. These sales will be starting again this fall with delivery in November. Pecans can be ordered at the JCL booth at the Ada Harvest and Herb Fest.

The Icon snatched this photo from the Ada Bulldogs Facebook.
Mrs. Gossard, first grade teacher, had her students tell a little about themselves as school got underway. You can see for yourself why they are special. (There's a lot of handstands in this class!)
For example:
• I can do a handstand while swimming
• I can draw people
• I can climb trees
• I collect LOL dolls
• I can sing
• I can do a handstand
• I can do a front flip on a trampoline
• I can swim
• I can do art
• I can make Furbys
• I can do a handstand
• I can help people
• I can swim
