A mural of big, colorful birthday cakes adorns a dining room at Viva Maria Pizza and Pasta...painted by none other than the proprietor and chief cook himself...Dominic Fricano.

The 20-seat room, near the front door, often serves as a celebration location and dining place for birthday and anniversary parties.

Dominic sought a happy and bright motif for the room. The painting of the giant cakes covers all four walls.

Enrique Cabrera, owner of El Campo, describes one of the murals he painted at his restaurant on Main Street.

The scene includes the church in his hometown of Guanajuato, Mexico. He liked to draw, so thought he'd try his hand at murals. Since he opened the Ada business here seven years ago, he has now painted murals on all of the walls.
