Stephen Johnson of Ada, will perform at the Bluffton arts and crafts festival Saturday, May 16. The bagpiper will perform in the late morning at the Bluffton show, which is on Main Street.
The 2015 Ada High School baccalaureate service is at 7 p.m., Wednesday, May 20, at the Ohio Northern University chapel.
There will be worship from area ministers, readings from the senior class, faculty blessings and music from Dave Lusk. The baccalaureate address is by Lyn Davis. Music will be performed from senior choir and band members.

The Hardin County Hootenannies met at the Ag Credit Building. Isaac Davis opened the meeting and asked Riley Fleece to lead the 4-H pledge.
The 4-H project books were handed out at the meeting, book fees are due at the next meeting. The next meeting will be located at Holbrook Farms on May 17 at 3:00.
Mayor Dave Retterer announced at village council on May 5 that Police Chief Michael Harnishfeger received the Ohio Association of Chiefs of Police distinguished service award for his efforts in leading the local department for the past 14 years.
During the meeting Chief Harnishfeger reported on two upcoming events.
He said there will be a baseball game at the park at 3 p.m., Saturday, May 16, pitting the police, fire, and ambulance squads against teachers and administrators from the Ada Schools. Admission will be one can of food which will be given to charity.
Jamie Burger, owner of Simply Torn, sells earrings to Kristin Reams of Ada during Cash Mob event on Friday sponsored by Buy Ada First Committee. The company began selling online in 2013, then opened at 220 N. Main last November.
