Faye Mason worked for Atlas Industries

Anzlas Faye Inmon Mason, age 79, passed away on Monday, January 10, 2022, at Blanchard Valley Health System, Findlay.

She was born on October 20, 1942, in Flint, Kentucky to Charlie and Bertha (Cornett) Whitaker who preceded her in death. Faye first married Elmer Inmon Sr. and he died on April 17, 2003.  She later married H.L. Mason in June 2006, he preceded her in death on January 5, 2022.

Faye previously worked for Atlas Industries and RCA. She was a member of the LaFayette Missionary Baptist Church. 

William Hawley was a chiropractor and veteran

William Buford “Bill” Hawley, age 74, passed away on Thursday, January 6, 2022, at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.

He was born on February 13, 1947, in Lima, Ohio to the late B.G. and Ernestine (Walls) Hawley.  On December 18, 1980, Bill married Myra J. Holbrook and she survives in Ada.

Also surviving are his three daughters: Rachael Hawley of Atlanta, GA, Nicky (Buzz) Neiswander of Ada and Rhonda (Tim) Kimerling of Onsted, MI; two grandchildren Zach and Sam; and a sister, Jayne Griffin of Ada.

Bill was preceded in death by his grandson, Aubin and brother-in-law and best friend, Ronald Griffin.

Juanita Downing worked for Ada Technologies

Juanita Marie Downing, age 69, passed away on Friday, January 7, 2022, at Lima Memorial Health System.

She was born on August 9, 1952, in Rushsylvania, Ohio to the late Tom and Juanita M. (Benton) Hollis.  On October 13, 1970, Juanita married Charles E. “Gene” Downing who preceded her in death on September 28, 2021.

Carol Jean Goins worked for Wilson Sporting Goods

Carol Jean Goins, age 81, of Alger, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her residence in the presence of her loving family on January 6, 2022.

She was born in Lima, Ohio on December 22, 1940, to the late Robert Schindler and Willa Doralee (Dehner) Bowers.  She married Joel G. Goins on February 18, 1970, and he survives in Alger.

Betty Elzay was first woman elected to Ada Council

Betty Elzay, our beloved mother left this "earthly plane" on December 12, 2021, to start another chapter in her journey. She was surrounded by her two sons and their wives at her son Allen's home in Green Valley, Arizona. 

Betty was born December 16, 1922 to Franklin and Bluette Weinhold.

Mary Joan Crist co-founded Crist Business Machines

Mary Joan Tyson Crist, age 96, passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2022, at 3:33 p.m. at the Bowling Green Bridge Hospice. 

Mary Joan Tyson Crist was born on January 30, 1925, in Lima, OH.  She was welcomed with love into the home of her parents, J.O. Tyson, and Eva Shultz Tyson of Ada, OH.  They had her baptized when she was a baby in the Ada Methodist Church.  They preceded her in death.  On November 27, 1942, Joan was married to Jack F. Crist at the home of Rev. Davis in Van Wert, Ohio.  After 55 years of marriage, he preceded her in death on January 8, 1998.
