Edith Daft was member of Bethel Church of Christ.

Edith M. Daft, 81, of Bluffton, formerly of Ada, died Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:05 p.m. at Bridge Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay.

Edith was born on October 10, 1931 in Orange Township, Hancock County, Ohio to the Leonard and Flossie (Hartman) Henry, who preceded her in death.

She married J. Robert Daft in 1951. He survives at Maple Crest Retirement Center in Bluffton.

She lived her entire married life on the family farm where she helped with the farming and raised her family. She was a member of the Bethel Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school for many years and filled other positions. She was a ten year 4-H advisor.

Phyllis K. Hopson 1950 - 2013

Phyllis K. Hopson died at 10:10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 16, 2013 at Lima Memorial Health Systems.

She was born Sept. 14, 1950 in Columbus to Kenneth Howard and Harriet Lucille (Winegardner) VanScoy. On Aug. 12, 1967 she married Kenneth D. Hopson Sr. and he survives in Dunkirk.

Also surviving are a son, Kenneth H. (Amber) Hopson of Dunkirk; three daughters, Mary Hopson and Jennifer (Mathew) Wilch, both of Dunkirk and Leasa K. (Scott) Lee of Elida; a brother, Bryan (Marilyn) VanScoy of Findlay; four sisters, Rachel Tidd of Ada, Marty (Randy) Preston of Dola and Paula Harp and Pauline Coldren, both of Kenton; 11 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Margie Huber was an Ada High School graduate

Margie Jean Huber, 88, of Melbourne, Fl. passed away Saturday, January 12, 2013.

She was born October 24, 1924 in Ada Ohio and was a former resident of Bluffton, Ohio. Her parents were E.E. (Gene) & Alma Peterson and she graduated from Ada High School.

Margie married C. Berdell Huber on January 1, 1943 in Bluffton, Ohio and they both were instrumental in founding The Northwest Ohio Antique Machinery Association. She retired from R C A in Findlay, Ohio. 

Margie was preceded in death by her husband Berdell in 2000.

Nancy Sue Walker was a 1967 graduate of Ada HS

Nancy Sue Walker, 63, of Cambridge, died Friday, Jan. 4, 2013, at the Beckett House in New Concord. She was born on Jan. 20, 1949 in Bluffton, Ohio, a daughter of the late Robert Runser and Maxine "Pat" (Patterson) Runser.

Mrs. Walker was an owner /operator of Hillview Acres Campground along with her husband John. She was a 1967 graduate of Ada High School.

She is survived by: husband John Henry Walker of Cambridge; a step-daughter Rebecca (Lucas) Hilleary of Noblesville, Ind.; a sister JoAnn (Ed) Simmons of Ada; a brother Robert (Linda) Runser of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; and three grandchildren Sebastian, Isaac and Meagan Hilleary.

Princess Grismore 1914 - 2013

Princess Gladys Long Grismore, 98 died at 11:50 am January 8, 2013 at Hilty Memorial Home, Pandora. 

She was born May 2, 1914 in Lima to the late Floyd and Louise (Lauck) Long.  She also had a stepfather Omar Johnson who preceded her in death.  On August 31, 1935 she married Fred L. Grismore and he died November 29, 1981.

Ada O. Legge, 1918 - 2013

Ada O. Legge, 94, died at 3:45 p.m. Jan. 6, 2013, at Lost Creek Care Center, Lima.

She was born Jan. 23, 1918, in Prestonsburg, Ky., to Willie and Hulda Hall Adams, who preceded her in death. On Aug. 9, 1935, she married John W. Legge, who died Sept. 17, 1981.

Mrs. Legge was a homemaker.

Survivors include a son, John L. (Nancy) Legge, of Waynesfield; three daughters, Eileen Kindle, of Dunkirk, Katherine (Dave) Mallow, of Botkins, and Jane Bailey, of Deltona, Fla.; and 24 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
