You may wonder why this photo is on the Ada Icon. Every photo has a story. Here's the story behind this photo, and, yes, there's an Ada connection.

The Icon owners were on vacation last week. While returning to northwestern Ohio after a week in Georgia, this black Cadillac passed The Icon cruiser somewhere on Interstate 64  while in the Allegeny Mountains of Virginia close to the West Virginia state line. (Check out the panoramic photo. It shows a sign stating "Callaghan, Virginia.")

So, you think you know Ada? Okay, identify this Ada "icon" and tell us its location. Here are a couple hints before you go blazing into the sunset.

And now, for the answer...

 

 

Its an outdoor light on the backside of the Ada railroad depot.

 

Summer hours until for the Ada Schools are as follows:

Monday - Thursday: 7 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Friday: 7 a.m. - 11 a.m.

Elementary and High School offices close on Friday, June 14 for the summer.

To contact the school after June 14 call the Central Office.

Ada Bingo plays on Thursdays at the Alumni N-men’s Building in downtown Ada.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m.; Bingo begins at 6:55 p.m..

Ada Bingo uses new, radio-controlled electronic machines as well as traditional paper packages.

Proceeds from Ada Bingo benefits the Ada Lion's Club and Ada Music
Boosters.

 

The Ohio Northern University chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) captured fifth place at the Human Powered Vehicle Challenge (HPVC) East competition at Ferris State University in Big Rapids, Mich., from April 26-28.

The top five finishers in the competition were Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, Missouri University of Science and Technology, University of Toronto, Kansas State University, and Ohio Northern University.
