Ohio Northern University’s Smull College of Engineering will host the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) North Central Regional Conference, in which regional universities face off in a variety of competitions, including concrete canoe and steel bridge building competitions, from March 30-April 1.

The Ada Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on April 23, at 7 p.m. in Council Chambers to discuss the amendment of the Zoning Ordinance Section 1177 dealing with inspections and violations. The proposed changes follow:

The Ada Public Library has started a book discussion group for chapter book readers. Here's how to join:

2. Come to the meeting on Monday, April 9 from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

The Ada Public Library's next book discussion is Tuesday, April 3, at 7 p.m. to discuss "Snow Flower and The Secret Fan," by Lisa See.

In nineteenth-century China a girl named Lily is paired with a woman named Snow Flower in an emotional match that will last a  lifetime.  As the years pass, the two send messages on fans, compose stories on handkerchiefs, reaching out of isolation to share their hopes, dreams and accomplishments.
