Two sports camps at Ada High school

Two summer sports camps take place in June in Ada. Here’s the details:

High School Volleyball Camp
June 2-5
9-11 a.m.
Ada HS gym
Cost: $25

Ada Lady Bulldog Basketball Camp
June 9-11
3-5 p.m.
For students entering 3rd to 8th grades
Cost: $20

Community Health Professionals piloting senior companion service in Ada

Community Health Professionals, Inc. is piloting a new, non-medical senior companion service this month, called Hometown Helpers.

The companionship program offers caregivers who will spend time with seniors, providing socialization and assistance with living tasks like grocery shopping, errands, playing games, reading, transportation to appointments, eating a meal together, feeding a pet and more.

“Whether you live across the country or across the street from your aging family members, it helps to know they have someone nearby who can check in and spend time with them,” said Brent Tow, CHP President/CEO.

Cessna Minutemen 4-H Club start thinking about Hardin County Fair

On May 20, 2014 the Cessna Minutemen met for a meeting at the Walnut Grove United Methodist Church. President Zac Breidenbach called the meeting to order. Levi Thompson led the Pledge of Allegiance and Tiffany Gebrin led the 4-H pledge. Secretary Kenzie Kater held roll call by asking the Cessna Minutemen their favorite summer activity. Eighteen members were present. The minutes and the treasurer's report were read and approved.
