Lots of calendar items from Ada schools

Here are several news items pertaining to Ada schools, from the Ada school website:

Interim reports
The end of the first quarter interim is Friday, Sept. 19. Interim reports will be sent home with students on Friday, Sept. 26. Parents are also encouraged to monitor their student's progress through ProgressBook. Should you need help with your access, please contact the school office.

Elementary permissions
Mobile Dentist permission forms are due Friday, Oct. 10.

Dancing with the Ada Stars at The Freed Center Oct. 4

Dancing with the Ada Stars, takes place Saturday, Oct. 4, at The Freed Center for the Performing Arts, Ada.

If you enjoy the television show "Dancing with the Stars" then plan for a fun evening watching  Ada community members compete for the Mirror Ball Trophy.

Special guest are the ONU Dance Company. Showtime is at 8:30 p.m.

Oct. 16 "lunch and learn" topic "Ask the Pharmacist

Community Health Professionals will hold a free "lunch and learn," in October.

The program titled "Ask the Pharmacist," will be held from noon to 1 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 16, at Community Health Professionals, 1200 S. Main St., Ada.

Ask the Pharmacist is presented by P&R Home IV and P&R Medical Connection. Sponsored by Liberty National Bank of Ada, participants will receive a box lunch from Northern on Main.

There is no cost to attend. Donations are welcome and will be put towards the hospice patient care fund. Please RSVP by Oct. 13 to 419-634-7443.

Ada - home of the Statue of Liberty

"Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore." The Statue of Liberty visited to Ada eariler this week. Students at Ready, Set, Grow Preschool portrayed  the famous Lady on Wednesday. Here are two of the statues, complete with flame and crown. For a class photo of the Statue, click here.

Meet the Statues of Ada-Liberty

Not only is the Township of Liberty alive and well. In Ada, so is the Statue of Liberty.

Just ask students who attend Ready, Set, Grow Preschool. The Icon visted the students on Wednesday, just as they dressed up as the famous statue located in a New York City harbor.

Each student has a Liberty flame, crown and message board.
