Boys' and girls' tourney pre-sale tickets on sale

Pre-sale tickets are on sale in the Ada High School office two Bulldog basketball tournament games to be played this week, according to Ken Jochims, Ada HS athletic director.

Tickets are on sale for the Wednesday, March 4, sectional semi-final game versus Arlington played at Coldwater High School, with a 6:15 p.m. start time.  Adult tickets $6 and student tickets $4. Alltickets at the door are 6.

Hardin Democrats meet March 11 in Kenton

The next meeting of the Hardin County Democratic Central and Executive Committees will be held Wednesday, March 11, at 7 p.m. at Henry’s Restaurant, 995 North Detroit St., Kenton.

Committee members should enter the north doors and go to the loft area on the right. Those who would like to eat and order from the menu are invited to come at 6 p.m. to dine together.

The Committees will review and evaluate the Hardin County Democrats Presidents' Day Luncheon which was held at Walnut Grove First United Methodist Church last week with Judge John O'Donnell as the keynote speaker.

Made to Move Tumbling and HEAT Cheer hold March 7 exhibition

The Hardin County Family YMCA announced that the Made To Move Tumbling and Hardin County HEAT Cheer will host a tumbling and cheer exhibition from 6:30-7:30 p.m., Saturday, March 7.

Admission is a free will donation (suggested donation is $3 per person). There will be prize raffles, 50/50 raffle, and a silent auction.  All monies raised will help with hotel costs for the Hardin HEAT Cheerleaders who will attend the U.S. Finals National Competition in Indianapolis  on April 10-12. 

Raffle tickets are $1 a piece and can be purchased from any Hardin HEAT member or coach.

March 9 College Credit Plus and Credit Flex session at AHS

Ada High School will host a College Credit Plus and Credit Flex meeting at 7 p.m., Monday, March 9, in the auditorium for parents and students attending Ada High School, according to Erinn Prater, high school guidance counselor.

Students and parents are invited to attend the meeting to learn about the College Credit Plus program mandated by House Bill 487. The law allows high school students to enroll in college courses while enrolled in high school, if the student meets eligibility requirements set by the college or university. 

Findlay Fishing Club accepting 2015 members

The Findlay Fishing Club is now accepting member applications for 2015. Its members say that it's the best fishing hole in Hancock County.
