Meet the Ada High School NWC Scholar Athletes

Several Ada High School athletes were named  Northwest Conference Scholar Athletes for spring sports.

The criteria for this award are as follows:

1.  Must be a letter winner in the sport.
2.  Gold Level -- GPA of 3.5 - 4.0 during the season of the sport.
3.  Silver Level -- GPA of 3.0 - 3.49 during the season of the sport.

Mustard Seed Cafe Father's Day fundraiser set

The Mustard Seed Cafe, Bluffton, will host a fundraiser on Father's Day.

The event is held Sunday, June 21, from 5-8 p.m. by the Mustard Seed Café and Cavalier Distributing at the Mustard Seed Café at 562 N Main St., Bluffton.

Proceeds will be sent to Island Dolphin Care, Key Largo, Fla., to sponsor a week of joy through dolphin assisted therapy for Logan Bell. Logan is a young adult born with FG Syndrome, a genetic disorder causing mild to severe developmental delays and other medical concerns. July 4    -  Lima Symphony performance at McIntosh Center from 7 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.  Rain or Shine
July 10  -  Music on Main / Kiwanis's chicken barbecue
July 11, 12, & 13 Tree Town Festival in Forest
Aug. 8  -  Ada Farmers and Merchants Picnic
Aug. 13,14,15 Lincoln By Way Garage Sales
Sept. 19- Harvest and Herb Festival

Car and bike show July 18 at Ada VFW

The Ada VFW will sponsor a car and bike show on Saturday, July 18, at the post located one mile north of Ada on State Route 235.

The event is free and open to the public.

Registration is from 2 to 5 p.m., judging 5 to 7 p.m., awards at 8 p.m.

Karaoke will begin at 8 pm. Food and beverages will be available throughout the day.

Liberty Baptist Church VBS July 6-10

Liberty Baptist Church, 2955 County Road 20, Ada, will hold its Vacation Bible School Monday through Friday, July 6-10, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

This year's theme is "Heavenly Hospital - providing care that changes lives forever." For more VBS details call 567-204-2441.

The VBS features Dr. Moody and Thumper for a fun-filled week to see how God's word changes lives forever.

 

 

Senator Hite @ Ada Public Library

Senator Cliff Hite (R), District 1, will be reading superhero themed stories to the kids at the Ada Public Library, Monday, June 15th at 1p.m.
