1935 Ada Schools withdrew from the county system to become Exempted Village School District. This move made the school district directly responsible to the state department of education.

September 1935 Play-by-play announcing of high school football games was inaugurated here with Leland Smull and Harold Huber in charge.

January and February 1930:

January 1930 Sororities were given recognition at Ohio Northern University.

February 1930 within 20 minutes from the time a big crane started to work, a new Pennsylvania railroad bridge weighing 300 tons was in position across Grass Run east of Ada.

February 1930 the Theta Phi Delta sorority established a home at 503 South Johnson Street. It was the first to establish a home after reactivation went into effect.

December 1936 the Ada council started the proceeding for a 14 year age limit on drivers in Ada. Nearly 100 licenses have been issued to minors by the highway patrol who passed the drivers test as young as 11 and twelve years of age.
