Festival goers may purchase a football for $75 and watch it be made. One purchase per person, only 60 balls will be made.
The sale begins at 11 a.m. inside the Depot with the actual making of the balls under the big tent beginning at 1 p.m. Those who purchase a ball may write a message on the inside with a marker.
COLDWATER - The Ada volleyball team lost a tough four-set match at powerful Coldwater Thursday evening.
The defeat dropped the Lady Bulldog record to 3-2.
Coldwater won the first set 25-14 before Ada tied it one set apiece with a 25-23 win in game two. But the hosts then won the final two sets by identical 25-19 scores.
"The girls played extremely well and worked hard throughout the match," said Ada head coach Kyleigh Tabor. "This is the first year we have taken a set from Coldwater, so I’m very proud of the girls.
"We are continuing to improve as a team and are working hard to take care of the ball on our side of the court."
The Ohio Northern women's cross country team looks to build off last season's fourth-place effort at the Ohio Athletic Conference Championships during the 2018 campaign under 10th-year head coach Jason Maus.
In 2017, the Polar Bears compiled an impressive 94-37 overall record, which included team titles at the Bluffton 5k and the Tiffelberg Invitational, and posted an upper division finish at the OAC Championships for the 16th consecutive season.
This season, Coach Maus and his staff welcome back nine lettermen and 13 student/athletes overall.
Optimism is running high for the Ohio Northern football program entering the 2018 season.
The Polar Bears were 7-3 overall and finished second in the Ohio Athletic Conference with a 6-3 record under 15th-year head coach Dean Paul in 2017.
Paul and his staff welcome back 14 starters and 38 lettermen from last year's squad that posted its 21st upper division finish in the Ohio Athletic Conference in the past 22 seasons.
