Bicycle enthusiasts may register for the inaugural Ride to Remember bicycle ride scheduled Saturday, July 11, in Bluffton.

The event offers short bike routes for families interested in biking together all the way to a 100-mile route for experienced riders starting and ending at Bluffton Family Recreation, 215 Snider Road, Bluffton.

Richard Ramseyer, president of the Bluffton Lions Foundation, sponsor of the ride, said, “This serves as a springboard to a make Bluffton a bicycle destination and bike center for enthusiasts of the sport.”

Bluffton’s busy summer continues on Saturday, May 16, with the 44th annual chamber-sponsored Arts and Crafts show.

This year’s event includes up to 70 booths featuring area crafters plus Bluffton businesses. The show, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. will stretch along Main Street from Elm Street to the post office.

Here’s what the day involves:
• Up to 70 booths on Main Street, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Farmers’ market from 8:30 a.m. to noon
• Pony rides at south end of Main, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
• Local food vendors, during the day
• Entertainment, late morning and early afternoon

The next senior dance at Restore Community Center, 210 N. Main St., takes place from 2 to 4 p.m., Wednesday, May 13.

The Hardin County Courthouse Centennial Celebration will take place on Monday, May 25. 

The day will start out with the Memorial Day Ceremony at the Grove Cemetery at 10 a.m., followed by the parade at 11 a.m. and a re-dedication ceremony of the Hardin County Courthouse at noon. 

The Historic Courthouse will be open from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Persons may tour the courthouse immediately following the re-dedication.

The Hardin County Players will present two mock trials, Hardin County vs Annie the Saint Bernard in the Common Pleas Courtroom, 3rd floor at 1 and 2 p.m. There will be cookies and cupcakes in Veterans Hall. 

There will be a euchre tournament at the Ada ReStore from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday May 20.

“Oklahoma!” comes to the Ada school auditorium this weekend.

The popular musical’s performances are Friday, April 24, and Saturday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, April 26, at 2 p.m. Tickets are $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior citizens. Tickets are on sale at the door and at the high school office.
