All the pancakes you can eat is available only one day a year in Ada.

That day is Saturday, when the Ada Kiwanis Club continue its 63-year tradition of holding a pancake and sausage day.

Serving takes place in the Ada school cafeteria from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take-outs are available. Tickets are $7 for adults, while youth 10 and under when accompanied by an adult are free.

Of course, the club is well-known in Ada for more that serving pancakes. Here's a list of recent service to the community:

Ada second and third graders invite Icon viewers to their class musical presentation of "GOAL."

Performances are Thursday, March 12, at 1:15 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the Ada school auditorium. Doors open 30 minutes prior to each performance, according to Lori Wilson, elementary music teacher.

"GOAL" portrays a group of students who are excited to host a kid's international soccer game at their school. Songs and dances celebrate  "The Beautiful Game," and features the Rogers and Hammerstein favorite "You'll Never Walk Alone."    

Students have on display paragraphs written about their own personal goals in life, or their favorite soccer experiences.

The Kenton Amateur Radio Club will meet on Monday March 30, at 6 p.m. at Henry’s Restaurant, Kenton. (Dinner is at 6 p.m. with the meeting beginning at 7 p.m.

Anyone interested in Amateur Radio is welcome to attend.

The March meeting of the Western Ohio Chapter of the Lincoln Highway Association will take place on Tuesday, March 17.  Members and guests will dine at the Wild Hare BBQ, 903 W. Main St. in Van Wert at 6 p.m.  A short business meeting will follow. 

At 7 p.m, members and guests will tour the Van Wert County Courthouse at 121 E. Main St.  Built in 1876, the Courthouse is a Second Empire structure and in 1974 was designated Van Wert County's first entry on the National Register of Historic Places.  The public is invited.

The Inn at ONU offers three PaintINN sessions this spring. The first session, "Clay Pot," will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 21. Saturday, March 21st at 10:00 AM.  The program
is be a  “Clay Pot”.  Participants will learn to create a beautiful piece of art from an ordinary clay pot.

During the PaintINN, participants may enjoy a Mimosa and a deluxe continental breakfast of pastries and fresh berries. The session will last approximately two hours; the cost of $38 per person includes all materials are supplied.

Do you like a good Western movie?

If so, you are in luck. ReStore's Wednesday Afternoon at the Movies this week features "Rio Bravo."

The movie will be shown at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 4. It is free and open to the public.

Rio Bravo is a 1959 American Western film produced and directed by Howard Hawks and starring John Wayne, Dean Martin, Ricky Nelson, Angie Dickinson, Walter Brennan, and Ward Bond.
