Hardin County plant sale May 7 at fairgrounds arts and crafts building

Several Hardin County garden organizations will be participating in the 13th Annual Hardin County Plant Sale. 

This event is scheduled for Saturday, May 7, in the Arts & Crafts building at the fairgrounds.  There will be browsing and coffee available from 8:30 – 9 a.m. with the actual sale running from 9 a.m. – noon. 

Food and drinks will be available during this event.  Proceeds from this annual plant sale benefit the activities and programs of the various garden groups represented.

Gospel sing fundraiser April 30 at ReStore

ReStore Community Center, 210 N. Main, Ada, will host a gospel sing at 5 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, to benefit the center.

Ohio Lincoln Highway state meeting April 30 in Delphos

The Delphos Museum of Postal History hosts the 22nd annual Ohio Lincoln Highway League state meeting on Saturday, April 30, beginning at 10 a.m.  

The morning will include three presentations: Ron Bagley of Van Wert will give a history of George Marsh and the Marsh Foundation School.  Delphos residents Ed Ulrich and Steve Dorsten will give presentations on the history of Delphos and the Miami and Erie Canal, respectively.

Ada first graders perform Pajama Party"! musical on Thursday

It's a "Pajama Party!"

And you are invited.

It's time for bed...time to pick up our toys, take a bath, brush our teeth and put our PJs on to end the day.

But wait! What's that noise I hear under my bed? Where's my teddy bear?Come join the Ada 1st graders to see how bedtime can really be a blast.

Performances are Thursday, April 21, at 12:45 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the school auditorium.

 

Tech Tuesday at the Spark Lab

Ohio State University Extension in Hardin County is holding Tech Tuesdays in April and May in the Spark Lab, according to Amanda Raines, 4-H program assistant. 

The classes are open to all ages and have a cost of $5 at the door.  To register go to go.osu.edu/TechTuesdays or call 419-674-2297. See attached flyer for dates, times, and classes offered.  

 

 

Spring wellness challenge signup underway

Sign up is underway for the 2016 Spring Wellness Challenge according to OSU Extension Educator in Hardin County, Jami Dellifield.

It is a free six week on-line email challenge designed to help participants improve their health by encouraging physical activity, enjoying healthy foods, and practicing sound fitness suggestions.

Those who sign up will receive two weekly e-communications from Ohio State University Extension containing research based nutrition, health and fitness information.
