Rotary barbecue matched by Gates Foundation in "Polio Plus" event

The Ada Rotary Club raised $500 to donate to "Polio Plus," during its October barbecue chicken fundraiser.

"Polio Plus" is an initiative of Rotary International dedicated to eradicate polio worldwide.

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation matches Rotary’s donations $2 for every $1 donated so Ada's  donation of $500 becomes a donation of $1,500.

Only three countries in the world still have cases of polio, and Rotary is determined to eradicate it completely.

Rotary issued a big thank you to all those from the community  who supported the  fundraiser.
