November 2020 was warmer than previous Novembers

The area experienced 3.6 inches of snow on Nov. 30 for the first snowfall of the season, according to Guy Verhoff, Pandora weather observer.

And, in case you wonder, November was warmer than most Novembers.

Verhoff reports that the average temperature in November 2020 was 45.8 degrees. That’s 4.3 degrees warmer than the normal November average temperature of 41.5 degrees.

The November 2020 high temperature was 78 degrees recorded on Nov. 8 and Nov. 9. The low reading was 20 degrees on Nov. 14.

ADA - Despite the pandemic and costly losses due to injuries, the 2020-21 Ada girls basketball team looks to continues its steady upward climb to increased competitiveness under third-year head coach Morgan Bass.

Six letter winners and four starters are back from a team that went 7-15 overall (0-8 in Northwest Conference) last season. Ada was markedly more competitive than the prior season, when they won one game. 

The team had no seniors on its roster last year, but lost two key players to injury before the first practice. 

Representatives from the Ada school board and War Memorial Park Board will meet at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 2.

According to Meri Skilliter, superintedent, representatives from each board will discuss renewal of the park contract.
