Vancrest of Ada's staff celebrates National Activities Professionals Week, and in the spirit of their job descriptions work at keeping spirits high in the Ada senior residential community. PAULDING - Visiting Ada played Paulding virtually even over the last three periods but lost 57-45 in a Northwest Conference girls basketball game Thursday evening.

Paulding raced to a 21-10 lead after the first quarter and maintained a similar margin throughout the rest of the contest. Ada was only outscored 36-35 over the final 24 minutes.

The Lady Bulldogs won the second stanza 10-9 to pull within 30-20 at intermission.

Paulding extended the margin to 42-29 after the third period. Ada won the final stanza 16-15, but could not get the deficit under double digits.

The Ohio Athletic Conference has announced its league schedules for baseball, softball, outdoor track and field, men's and women's golf and men's and women's tennis for the 2021 seasons.

Competition across all 10 sports will be limited to conference-only opponents and will begin with women's lacrosse home against John Carroll on Feb. 20.

Baseball and softball will play 36 games within the OAC, facing each team four times with home-and-home double headers over nine consecutive weekends starting March 13. Softball will also add four games with Heidelberg March 6-7 that will not count toward the OAC standings.

Lunch in February begins with breaded chicken leg, steamed broccoli, fruit and milk, in the Ada school cafeteria.
