J. Christopher Hubbell died in London, England

 

J. Christopher Hubbell, age 48 died May 31, 2012 in London, England.
He was born February 1, 1964 in Lima, Ohio to John Frederick and Katherine Anne (McBride) Hubbell. His mother predeceased him in death. He is survived by his parents Fred and Sharon Hubbell of Alger, Ohio.

He was employed as a Senior Presentation Specialist for Williams Lea in Columbus and  spent his free time creating the comic strip “In the Weeds.”

Parents, teachers, and students know it’s about that time. Ada Schools are scheduled to resume classes for the 2012-2013 school on Thursday, August 16th.

Two straight days of rain, hey, we'll take it!

Although we know lots of people talk about the weather, but no one does anything about it, when we see it rained 1.96 inches over a recent two-day period, we'll take it. No questions.

Ice Age Continental Drift starts Friday at Ada Theatre

The movie "Ice Age Continental Drift," rated PG starts Friday, Aug. 10, and runs to Thursday, Aug. 16, at the Ada Theatre, according to James Curlis, theatre owner.

Show times follow:

Friday and Saturday 7 & 9 p.m.
Saturday and Sunday Matinee  4 p.m.
Nightly at  7 p.m.

Krysti's Music Studio accepting new students; classes start Aug. 27

Krysti's Music Studio, South Main Street, Bluffton, is accepting new students for fall classes, which start the week of Aug. 27.

"We provide lessons in piano, guitar, voice, violin, theory, and composition." said Krysti Schey, studio owner.  " We believe that music lessons are an enriching experience for students of all ages, and we are passionate about providing fun, yet quality lessons tailored to each student's individual needs.
