Perseid Meteor shower viewing is scheduled for Saturday evening, August 13 at the McGuffey Park located at the East end of South Street in McGuffey.
Members of the Hardin County Astronomy Club will be there at dusk unless it is very cloudy. The club notes, "Sunday night is the inclement weather night. If we get clouded out remember that Perseid Meteors can be seen up until the end of August, so get out any clear night or early morning. Maybe you can see a fireball!"
Leah E. Casey, 2017 Allen East High School graduate and formerly of Ada, recently earned a Master of Studies in English “With Distinction” from The Queen’s College, The University of Oxford, England.

If you think the poster for the 2022 Farmers & Merchants Picnic shows a busy day at Ada War Memorial Park on August 13, that's not the half of it.
Eva Wolke provided the Icon with a full itinerary for the day, ranging from all the acts in the talent show, the lineup for the dunk tank and the generous sponsors that make the event possible.
Let's begin with this note: volunteers are still needed, especially in the kitchen. Visit https://signup.com/go/VzaLTpx to support the event as a volunteer.
9:30 a.m. - PARADE
The parade will culminate at the park and come up S. Park Drive.
