The Ada VFW and American Legion will conduct the annual Memorial Day services, Monday, May 25, at Woodlawn Cemetery in Ada and at Preston Cemetery east of Alger on Monday.

The Ada service will begin at 2 p.m. at the monument near the chapel on the east side of the cemetery. The speaker will be Dave Archer who served in Vietnam.

The service in Preston will follow immediately afterward.

In Ada, there will be an invocation, a speaker, and youth going to Boys' and Girls' State will read the Gettysburg Address written by Abraham Lincoln in 1864 and the poem "In Flanders's Field" written by John McCrae in1915.

When a light bulb burns out in the parking lot of The Inn at ONU it's not a simple "climb a ladder job." It takes a fork lift and a trip the Ada's second floor, where the birds fly.

Yes, the Farmers Market will return to Ada this summer, but in a new location.

The market will operate from the Railroad Depot parking lot from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. on Thursdays beginning June 4.

There was a question about its operating this year due to new restrictions, regulations and requirements demanded by the Ohio Department of Agriculture, which now oversees farmers markets.

Those issues have now been resolved thanks to the assistance of ReStore personnel.
