Two Ada High School senior boys were named to the All-North Central Ohio Soccer Association first team in voting recently conducted by the league coaches.

Senior forward Logan Jolliff scored 27 goals to help lead the Bulldogs to a 13-4 regular season record. He also made eight assists to total 62 points.

Jolliff tallied a school single-game record nine goals in a 13-0 win over league foe Cory-Rawson October 2. It is his second time being selected as first team All-NCOSA. Jolliff was named second team all-league as a sophomore in 2022.

Senior passing ace Nathan Williams dished out 26 assists and scored 13 goals to compile 52 points this season. Forward Williams passed out an Ada single-game record six assists in the blowout win over C-R.

He has also set a program record for single-season assists in 2024.

Williams makes first team All-NCOSA after being named to the all-league second team in 2023.

“It is great to see Logan Jolliff and Nathan Williams earn a spot on the all-league first team,” said Ada first-year head coach Aaron Acheson. “They both mean so much to our program.”

Sophomore center midfielder Andrew Allen and senior center back Ty Mowery were voted second team All-NCOSA.

The quick, attacking Allen poured in 21 goals this regular season. He also passed out four assists to tally a total of 46 points.

Mowery tallied one goal and played strong defense.

“It is great to see Andrew Allen and Ty Mowery earn a spot on the all-league second team,” said Acheson. “Andrew is only going to get better over time. I have really enjoyed watching him grow into his role this season.

“Ty is a calming presence in our backline,” he continued. “He is smooth and times his tackles well. Ty made a phenomenal tackle vs. Kenton that prevented a scoring chance and helped us preserve the win.”

Ada sophomore goalkeeper Jacob Rush, tough junior midfielder Evan Miller, junior center-back Jude Griffin, feisty sophomore defender Wyatt Fisher and slick-passing junior midfielder Joshua Thaxton were all voted honorable mention All-NCOSA.

Rush was a repeat HM selection. He recorded 81 saves and a 1.65 goals against average. Rush and the Bulldog defense posted seven shutouts.

Thaxton scored four goals and dished out four assists to compile 12 points.

Miller dished out three assists. Fisher dealt one assist. Griffin also played strong defense.

“I am proud of the effort and production these five players have given to the program and team this season,” said Acheson. “I told the players that team success leads to players earning awards at the end of the season.

“The boys are enjoying the journey along the way,” he continued. “We are all very proud of their accomplishments. I am very happy for the players from our program that earned NCOSA end-of-season awards.”

Liberty-Benton’s Garrett Nealis was voted NCOSA Player of the Year.

Aaron Troyer was named NCOSA Coach of the Year. Kyle Spangler was named assistant coach of the year.

Ada finished 2-3 in the tough NCOSA standings.

Liberty-Benton won the conference crown with a 5-0 record. Van Buren finished second at 4-1. Ada, Riverdale and Upper Sandusky tied for third with identical 2-3 league records. Cory-Rawson finished last in the six-team league at 0-5.

League champion L-B placed four boys on the first team and three on the second team, while three more Eagles made HM.

Ada hosts local rival Allen East in the first round of tournament play Saturday, October 19 at noon.
