McGUFFEY - The visiting Ada High School volleyball team concluded its regular season on a high note by beating traditional arch-rival Upper Scioto Valley in four sets Tuesday night, October 8, at Alumni Fieldhouse.
Ada won the final two sets to pull away and defeat the Rams 25-18, 21-25, 25-11, 25-14.
With the non-league road victory, the Bulldog spikers improved to 11-11. Struggling USV fell to 2-14 after the loss.
Ada sophomore Dailah Preston came up big by smacking 12 kills and making two blocks.
Junior Anna Conley knocked down nine kills, made 11 digs and compiled three blocks.
Sophomore Brooklyn Andreasen drilled eight kills and authored two blocks. Sophomore Alivia Gibson hammered six kills.
Bulldog senior Tess Griffith hustled up 15 digs and served a pair of aces.
Senior libero Jenna Bassitt mustered 24 digs to increase her career school record total to 1,052.
Sophomore Jaylin St. Laurent dished out 36 assists, hustled up 16 digs and served three aces.
Junior Alainee Buxton dealt four aces. Senior Kennedy Jones dealt a pair of aces.
The Ada reserves won 2-0 to finish at 11-9 this season.
Ada is idle for nine days until they meet county rival Hardin Northern (11-6) at New Knoxville in sectional final tournament play Thursday, Oct. 17. HN edged the Bulldogs 2-1 in a tri-match at Arlington August 31.
