Ada volleyball sweeps Wildcats

DELPHOS – Playing their third match in four nights, the visiting Ada High School volleyball team swept non-conference foe Delphos Jefferson on Thursday, September 26.
The Bulldogs improved to 7-8 overall after the 25-15, 25-20, 25-14 road win which snapped a three-match losing skid.
DJ fell to 4-13 after the defeat.
Senior Tess Griffith hustled up 12 digs, hit seven kills and served up six aces to pace the victors.
Sophomore Dailah Preston drilled six kills, while junior Anna Conley came up with six blocks. Sophomore Alivia Gibson knocked down five kills.
Sophomore setter Jaylin St. Laurent passed out 24 assists, made 10 digs and dealt three aces. Senior libero Bassitt mustered 11 digs. Senior McClain hustled up seven digs.
Ada continues a very busy six-match week Saturday when the Bulldogs play a trio of best-of-three matches at the annual Cory-Rawson Invitational tournament.
Top seed Van Buren, host C-R, Ada, Holgate, Temple Christian, Vanlue and North Baltimore are in the field.
