Ada’s Baumgartner wins 2 races

BLUFFTON – The Ada Gators summer swim team is eighth after day one of the annual two-day West Ohio Aquatic League championship meet in Bluffton Friday, July 12.
Ada ace swimmer Lily Baumgartner touched first in a pair of individual races on day one to pace the Gators.
The 17-year old won the girls 15 and over 100-meter individual medley, and also captured the 50-meter butterfly.
Baumgartner set the WOAL title meet record in both events in 2022.
Gator Luke Harriger won two races in the boys 7-8 division.
Ada’s Olivia Agozzino won the 50-meter freestyle in the girls 11-12 age bracket, and touched second in two other events Friday.
Landry Harriger (boys 11-12) and Clair Kemmere (girls 15 and over) each won one race Friday for the Gators.
Host Bluffton is first in the combined team standings and sits a close second to Westside in the girls race. The Sardines also lead the boys standings at the halfway point.
Day two of competition starts Saturday morning, and the meet concludes in mid-afternoon Saturday.
