Wilma Kathleen Prater was a home health aide
Wilma Kathleen Prater, age 82, of Alger, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024 at Mercy Health-St. Rita’s Medical Center, Lima.
Wilma was born in McGuffey, Ohio on February 20, 1942 to the late Wiley and Sarah (Hurt) Adkins. Wilma was formerly married to Robert Spradlin. Then on December 27, 1985, she married the love of her life Elliott Prater, Jr. and he preceded her in death on March 18, 2021.
Wilma was a home health aide at Hardin Memorial. She was a member of the Victory Center Church, Wapakoneta.
She is survived by her son, John (Denay) Spradlin of Lakeview; two daughters: Teresa (Kevin) McCurdy of Coshocton and Melissa (Dwayne Seese) Prater of Foraker; two bonus sons: Raymond (LeAnn) Pryor of Ada and David Pryor of Kenton; two grandchildren: Eland (Britney) Leigh, and Braeden Leigh; bonus grandson, Wesley Pryor; great grandchildren: Penelope and Henry; and sister, Mary “Maudie” Hamilton.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Spradlin; bonus grandson, Shane Pryor; four brothers: Corbit, Charles, Kenneth and Paul Adkins; and two sisters: Deloris Waddle and Louella Lawrence.
Funeral services will begin at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, May 21, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger with Pastor Tony Shaw officiating. Burial will be in McDonald-Fairview Cemetery, Kenton.
Friends may call from 5:00 to 7:00 PM on Monday, May 20, 2024 at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Alger and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Victory Center Church, 13488 Cemetery Road, Wapakoneta, Ohio 45859.
