Brown wins high school district hurdles title

ADA __ The Ada High School boys track and field team finished a solid eighth at the district Div. III meet Saturday, May 18, at War Memorial Stadium.

Bulldog senior Jackson Brown won the 110-meter high hurdles to qualify for the regional meet in Fostoria.

A top-four finish in an event at districts qualifies an athlete to regionals.

Columbus Grove won the boys team title with 118 points, followed by Bluffton with 99. Ada tallied 43 points.

The Ada boys 4 x 100 relay team of Logan Jolliff, Trevor McGue, Brown and Gavin Oldfield finished a strong second to make it to Fostoria.

The Lady Bulldogs came in seventh with 18 points. Grove was second with 123.

Junior Kennedy Jones took third in the shot put to post the top Ada girls finish and make it to regionals.
