Barbara Ann (Fields) Holbrook, age 85, of Palm Bay, Florida and formerly of North Ridgeville, Ohio passed away on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 at Health First Holmes Regional Medical Center in Melbourne, Florida.
She was born on August 26, 1938, in Forest, Ohio to Carl and Cartha (Higgins) Fields. Barbara married Rev. Gale Holbrook on November 17, 1956 in Lima, Ohio and he preceded her in death on March 10, 1997. Also preceding her in death are her parents; and her three sons: Gale, Dale and Adam Holbrook.
Barbara worked at Aircraft in Forest, Ohio and Giant Eagle in North Ridgeville, Ohio. She also worked for the Pentecostal Church of God Ohio District as a secretary and treasurer of the Pentecostal Young Peoples Association from 1964 to 1997. Barbara worked with her husband, Rev. Gale Holbrook building and pastoring churches in Ohio.
Barbara is survived by three daughters: Rhonda (Robert) Mowery of Lima, Lucy Ann (Joe) Nemeth of Cleveland and Sandra Holbrook of Live Oak, Florida; a son, Rev. Mike (Barb) Holbrook of Lima; a daughter-in-law, Mary (Adam) Holbrook; a sister, Beverly (Kenny) Gossman of Mt. Blanchard; sixteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren, and nine great-great grandchildren; and a niece and three nephews.
A private family graveside service will be held at Preston Cemetery, 3131 County Road 90, Alger, Ohio with her grandson, Rev. Joseph M. Holbrook officiating.
