LIMA (Dec. 4, 2023)__The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 1, in compliance with the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and Executive Order 11988, is seeking public comments regarding the following proposed projects:
HARDIN COUNTY
County Roads 175, 190, 209, & 265 resurfacing (PID: 111471)
The Hardin County Engineer, in partnership with the Ohio Department of Transportation, is proposing to resurface portions of County Road 175, County Road 190, County Road 209, and County Road 265 in Hardin County.
The work locations are:
County Road 175 east of the city of Kenton from the intersection of Couty Road 175 and State Route 53 to the intersection of County Road 175 and County Road 160 (6.31 miles).
County Road 190 from the intersection of County Road 190 and State Route 31 to the Hardin/Marion County Line (7.35 miles).
County Road 209 from the village of Mount Victory to the intersection of County Road 209 and County Road 265 (5.41 miles).
County Road 265 from the intersection of County Road 265 and County Road 209 to the Hardin/Marion County Line (6.42 miles).
Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures. Vehicular through traffic will be detoured temporarily. Access for local traffic to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.
Construction is anticipated to occur in the summer of 2025.

State Route 235 resurfacing (PID: 107658)
The Ohio Department of Transportation is proposing to resurface 10.41 miles of State Route 235 between the unincorporated community of Roundhead and the village of Alger on the western edge of Hardin County by using a full width resurfacing method known as echelon paving.
Construction activities will result in temporary roadway closures. Vehicular through traffic will be detoured temporarily. Access for local traffic to all properties will be maintained throughout construction.
Construction is anticipated to occur in the summer of 2025.
