The Ada High School golf team concluded its season by playing in the 11-team Div. III sectional tournament at Sycamore Springs Golf Course in Arlington Thursday morning, September 28.
Arcadia won a tight sectional tournament title race with 347 strokes. Pandora-Gilboa took a close second at 349, followed by Carey in third at 351.
The Bulldogs totaled 418 strokes to finish 10th, ahead of last-place Arlington.
Freshman Brody Rister carded a 49-47=96 to post the top Bulldog showing. He came in 30th out of 54 golfers.
Ada senior Jack Baumgartner posted a 49-49=98 to finish tied for 33rd place.
Freshman Lawson Klingler was the third Ada scorer with a 55-56=111, and he came in 44th.
Junior Ethan Lawrence finished 47th with a score of 57-56=113 as the final Bulldog scorer.
Sophomore Sam Crawford added a 67-65=132 to round out the Ada effort in 53rd place.
Arcadia senior Brayden Hindall (39=39=78) and senior Owen Huffman of Pandora-Gilboa (44-34=78) tied for tournament medalist honors.
The top three teams and top three individuals not on a qualifying team advanced to the district tournament at Stone Ridge Golf Course Thursday, October 5.
