The Ada Exempted Village School will hold a Board of Education meeting with the attached agenda at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 27, in the boardroom at 725 W. North Ave.
PUBLIC HEARINGS
The meeting will include two public hearings:
- Use of IDEA (Individuals with Disabilities Education Act) Part B Funds for the 2023-2024 school year.
- Retire/Rehire for the 2023-2024 school year: Kim Guagenti as the 7th Grade English teacher.
RESOLUTIONS
The board will be asked to adopt a resolution of recognition and commendation for Ron Fleming on his 30-year Veteran School Board member certificate presented by Marty Rothey, Ohio School Board Association Northwest Region Manager.
SUPERINTENDENT’S RECOMMENDATIONS
- Athletic participation and ticket prices
- Licensed summer school instructors
- Salary adjustment for Neisha Hermiller, who has completed her Master’s degree plus 15 and Julie Stavenger, who has completed her Master’s degree plus 30
- Agreement for the the use of the ONU pool
- Service agreement with the Midwest Regional ESC for providing substitute teacher on a special assignment, Kim Guagenti.
- Shared Services Agreement with Kenton City Schools Board of Education
- Recommendation for 19.5 hours (3 days) to be made up with “Blizzard Bags”
- Service agreement with Midwest Regional ESC for providing Vision Impaired and or Orientation and Mobility services
- Extended Service Day Contract for Britney Lee Structured Literacy Dyslexia Interventionist
- Agreement with Midwest Regional ESC for providing Stand-Alone Preschool Class Services
- Certified and classified substitutes: Jacey Roberson, Substitute Nurse
- Individual contracts: Rayanne Nye, Percussion Director and Sean Anderson, Beta Club Advisor.
- Volunteer Drivers Kurk Klingler and Sheila Baumgartner
- Suppliers Gordon Food Service and/or RightWay Food Service as the food and disposables supplier, Reiter Dairy as dairy supplier, Brown’s Supply Company as the chemical supplier and servicer for the dish machine, and Nickles Bakery as bread supplier.
