Letter: United Way kicks off 2024-2025 Imagine campaign

The United Way of Hardin County is excited to kick off its 2024/2025 Annual Campaign, “Imagine.” Since 1968 the Hardin County’s United Way has been THE way Hardin County businesses and residents give back to the community. That’s because United Way fights for the health education and financial stability of every person in Hardin County. More than just a fundraiser, United Way collaborates with businesses, non-profits, government, and civic organizations to help meet Hardin County’s unique social service needs and reflect the values of our community.

ONU women's soccer wins OAC Championship

ADA __ The Ohio Northern women's soccer team won the program's sixth OAC Tournament Championship with a 3-2 victory over John Carroll on a beautiful Saturday afternoon.

Records: Ohio Northern (14-5-1 overall), John Carroll (12-7-1 overall).
Venue: Kerscher Stadium — Ada, Ohio.

The Match
John Carroll scored first in the 11th minute to go up 1-0 early in the game.

June Lucille (Robinson) Webb was a homemaker

June Lucille (Robinson) Webb, age 90, of Dola, went home to be in the arms of her Lord at Bridge Hospice Care Center at Blanchard Valley Hospital, Findlay, on Saturday, November 9, 2024, surrounded by her family. 

​She was born on June 1, 1934 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida to the late Estle and Priscilla (Ramey) Robinson. June married Clifford R. Webb and he preceded her in death.

Demolition funding awarded for Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house

The Ohio Department of Development has announced a November 2024 round of 61 demolition and site revitalization awards including 14 sites in Hardin County. The site at 821 South Gilbert Street, Ada is the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity house which was damaged by freezing pipes and has been gutted in preparation for demolition.

Three residential properties in Alger have been awarded demolition funding.
