Team sets new single season Bulldog record

ADA – Playing at home, the Ada High School girls soccer team built a lead, then held off a late charge by Hardin County rival Kenton to win a chippy 2-1 battle. The October 5 match was the final home game of the regular season at War Memorial Stadium.

Research charitable organizations related to Hurricane Helene relief

As Ohioans step up to support storm relief efforts in the wake of the devastation caused by Hurricane Helene throughout much of the southeastern United States, Ohio Governor Mike DeWine and the Ohio Department of Commerce Division of Financial Institutions urge those who want to donate to be careful and make sure that the organizations they support with financial donations are legitimately helping victims of the storm.

“Our fellow Americans need our help in the aftermath of this terrible storm,” said Ohio Governor Mike DeWine. “Ohioans have always stepped up to the plate when disaster strikes, whether at home or across the nation.”

Bulldog football win vs. Falcons; three BVC teams are 4-1

MT. BLANCHARD __ The visiting Ada High School football team decisively defeated Blanchard Valley Conference rival Riverdale 35-7 Friday night, October 4, to earn their fourth consecutive victory.

Ada scored 22 points in the first period to seize control and never was seriously threatened.

The Bulldogs improved to 6-1 overall with the convincing victory. Ada is tied with Leipsic and Pandora-Gilboa for second place in the BVC at 4-1.

Ada plays both of those tough teams in their final two regular season games.

The Falcons fell to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in the BVC with the loss.
