Pauline Shadley taught at Perry School District
Pauline Shadley, age 97, of Ada, passed away on Friday, December 9, 2022, at Vancrest of Ada.
She was born on March 8, 1925, in Hardin County, Ohio to the late James Delmar and Lucille Elizabeth (Neubert) Shadley.
Pauline retired from the Perry School District after working for thirty years as an elementary teacher. She was a member of the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church of Ada, where she was the Church Correspondent, former Sunday School Teacher, member of the UMW and a delegate to Lakeside for 12 years. She graduated from Ada High School and Ohio Northern University with a BS Degree in Elementary Education. She was a member of the Delta Gamma Soriety; member and past president of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary of Ada; past 4H member and advisor; member of the Hardin and Allen Counties Retired Teachers Association. Pauline enjoyed doing community service work.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews. Pauline was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Shadley; and four sisters: Lola McCoy, Mary Wales, Wilma Ernsberger, and Margaret Shadley.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Trent Boedicker officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service on Wednesday, December 14, from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Sugar Grove United Methodist Church, 4945 State Route 81, Ada, Ohio 45810.
