The Ada High School track and field teams hosted the Div. III district meet on warm days Thursday, May 19, and Saturday, May 21, at War Memorial Stadium.
The Ada girls finished 10th of 18 teams, while the Bulldog boys ended up 12th out of 15 squads.
Columbus Grove won the boys team title with Bluffton coming in second. Kalida captured the girls crown in a close battle with Van Buren.
Ada junior Courtney Sumner took second in the girls long jump to qualify for regionals and post the top Bulldog finish. She registered a personal-best jump of 16-4.
The Ada 4 x 400 girls relay quartet of Olivia Burkhart, Olivia Green, Mariah King and Sumner finished third to also make it to regionals.
The Ada boys 4 x 400 foursome of Chase Caldwell, Rowan West, Trevor McGue and Julian Grose took fourth to qualify.
Grose also qualified in the 300 hurdles, taking fifth in the finals after posting the fastest preliminary time among 24 competitors in the heats.
Top five boys finishers in an event make it to regionals, while the top four girls qualify.
