Bulldog baseball bested by Knights

The visiting Ada baseball team lost 12-2 to Crestview in a Northwest Conference matchup in Convoy on Thursday evening, April 28.

Ada fell to 5-9 overall and 0-5 in the NWC with the defeat. Meanwhile, Crestview improved to 9-3 and 5-1 in NWC play with the win.

Crestview plated eight big runs in the bottom of the first inning to build a big early lead. The Knights stretched the margin to 11-1 after three frames. 

Ada scored once in the fourth to slice the deficit to 11-2, but the Knights matched it in the bottom of the sixth to invoke the 10-run rule. 

Roman Snyder suffered the pitching defeat. He had one hit and two sacrifices.

Spencer Wall doubled and scored a run for Ada.

Levi Green knocked out two hits to pace the seven-hit Bulldog offense. Max Puerto, Levi Sousley and Dalton Amos added a single apiece. Zach Neiswander added a walk.

Ada plays at county rival Kenton (2-10) Saturday, April 30. The Bulldogs host league foe Leipsic (10-4, 4-1 NWC) Monday, May 2.
