Anne M. Mahaffey, age 92, of Ada, passed away on Sunday, April 17, 2022, at 2:30 a.m. at The Heritage of Findlay.
She was born on January 9, 1930, in Richwood, Ohio to the late Milford and Paula (Kirchner) Schmelzer. Anne married Robert O. Wiley on April 30, 1952, he preceded her in death on January 27, 1996. Then on March 22, 1997, Anne married Donald G. Mahaffey and he preceded her in death on August 3, 2002.
Anne is survived by her three daughters: Jackie Wells of Galena, Jeannie (Andy) Wolf of Findlay and Lisa (Jeff) Meeker of Leavenworth, KS; a stepdaughter, Kay (Steve) Cochrell; four grandchildren, three step grandchildren and two great grandchildren; and a sister-in-law, Fritz Wolfe of Granville.
She was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Bill Wells; a stepson, Michael Mahaffey; and a sister, Ruth Turner.
Anne retired as an elementary school teacher. She was a graduate of Morral High School and Ohio Northern University, Ada. Anne was a member of the Ada First United Methodist Church.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, April 22, 2022, at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Pastor Brandi Rigsby officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Ada.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, April 21, 2022, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada and one hour prior to the service on Friday, April 22 at the funeral home.
