Keith M. VanHoose worked for Mennel Milling

Funeral arrangements updated February 3.

Keith M. “Moose” VanHoose, age 59, passed away on Sunday, January 30, 2022 at the OSU Wexner Medical Center, Columbus, surrounded by his family.

He was born on August 9, 1962, in Paintsville, Kentucky to the late Paris and Mary (Blair) VanHoose.  On August 2, 1985, Keith married Tammie J. Dyer and she survives in Lakeview.

Also surviving are his three children: Logan (Vanessa) VanHoose of Harrod, Luke (Joel Mosby) VanHoose of Memphis, TN, and Lacie (Damien Dyer) VanHoose of Lima; two grandchildren: Cruz and Caraline, with grandchild number three expected in August; three brothers: Mitch Marshall of Kenton, Grover (Terry) VanHoose of Fostoria and Terry VanHoose of McGuffey; and three sisters: Edith (Hubert) Summa of Foraker, Dorothy Woten of Kenton, and Geraldine (Jerry) Henderson of Alger.

Keith was preceded in death by a brother, Tommy VanHoose and a sister, Glenda Conley. 

Keith had an incomparable zest for life. The sun rose and sat on his family and friends. His commitment and support was steadfast and strong. Keith thrived on camaraderie, whether out on the lake, at the park with his grandkids, snowmobiling or fishing up North, soaking up the sun on a beach or motorcycle in Florida or enjoying live music. Keith was proud of the life he created for his family through 30+ years of service to his treasured clients at Mennel Milling Company and 20+ years of VH5 Trucking being on the road.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the McDonald Township Hall 5302 State Route 67, Kenton, Ohio 43326, beginning at 5:00 p.m.

Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5, 2022, at the Hanson-Neely-Allison Funeral & Cremation Services, Ada with Rev. Karen Rarey officiating.  

Visitation will be held two hours prior to the service from 12:00-2:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 5 at the funeral home in Ada.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
