Bascom, Windsor and Church named NSCAA/Continental NCAA Men's Soccer All-Americans

Seniors Nate Bascom, Austin Windsor and Mac Church have all been named NSCAA/Continental Tire Men's Soccer All-Americans in voting conducted by the National Soccer Coaches Assocaition of America.

Bascom was named to the First Team, Windsor was voted to the Second Team and Church was named to the Third Team.

Bascom earns his second straight All-American award.

This season Bascom broke the ONU single season school records in assists with 18 and in points with 54. He was also second on the team with 18 goals.

Tara Tokar named to NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Women's All-America Third Team

Senior Tara Tokar has been named to the NSCAA/Continental Tire NCAA Division III Women's All-American Third Team, in voting conducted by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America.

This is the second straight season that Tokar has been named to the Third Team.

This season, she scored three goals and recorded two assists as a midfielder. Tokar ends her career as a Polar Bear with 12 goals and six assists.

Ohio Northern finished the season with a 13-5-5 record and won the program's first OAC Tournament Championship.

The Polar Bears also advanced to the second round of the NCAA III Tournament for the second consecutive season.

Men's swimming & diving ranked No. 17 in latest weekly Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com power rankings

The Ohio Northern men's swimming & diving team is ranked No. 17 in the latest Endless Pools/CollegeSwimming.com Division III power rankings released on Wednesday.

The Polar Bears (4-0 overall, 2-0 Ohio Athletic Conference) have an 81.74 rating.

Points for the Endless Pools / CollegeSwimming.com Top 25 are calculated using the average percentile rank of each team's top twenty-seven in each meet.

The Top 25 are ranked according on the basis of each team's highest-scoring meet over a four-week period.

Emory (Ga.) is ranked No. 1, Kenyon is No. 2 and Denison is No. 3.

Men's soccer ranked No. 2, No. 3 in final NSCAA and D3soccer.com polls

The Ohio Northern men's soccer team is ranked No. 2 in the final 2012 Continental Tire/NSCAA and is No. 3 in the last D3soccer.com Men's Top 25 poll on Wednesday.

In the NSCAA poll, the Polar Bears were ranked No. 10 in the final regular season poll, No. 12 in the eighth poll, No. 14 in the seventh poll, No. 21 in the sixth poll, No. 25 in the fifth poll, No. 18 in forth poll, No. 9 in the third poll, No. 12 in the second poll, No. 4 in the first weekly poll and were ranked No. 12 in the 2012 preseason poll and were No. 11 in the final 2011 NSCAA poll.

National Champion Messiah (Pa.) claimed the top spot, followed by ONU, Loras (Ia.), Williams (Mass.) and Amherst (Mass.)

Women's soccer receives votes in final D3soccer.com poll

The Ohio Northern women's soccer team received votes in the final D3soccer.com poll, in voting done by a panel of coaches, Sports Information Directors and media members across the country.

The Polar Bears received 26 points.

National Champion Messiah (Pa.) was ranked No. 1 with 625 points, Emory (Ga.) was voted No. 2 with 600 points and Wheaton (Ill.) rounded out the top three with 575 points.
Northern was ranked No. 21 in the fourth and fifth polls.

The Polar Bears concluded their season with a 13-5-5 mark under ninth year head coach Mark Batman.
